The NURIEC collaborates with interpreter education programs and a network of educators, service providers, practitioners, and consumers to enhance the availability and quality of interpreting services in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Vermont. The Center will foster effective practices in interpreter education, offer professional development for interpreters, develop consumer education strategies, and serve as a resource to the community.
