Mentees, novice interpreters and interpreting students. Educational interpreters and faith-based interpreters are welcome!

Description:
Need a safe place to hone your interpreting skills? Want to expand your network of interpreters, Deaf individuals and agencies? Join us for guided interpreting practice in a small group, supportive environment with live Deaf models!

This work group focuses on PRACTICE - giving you the opportunity to practice interpreting from live (rather than taped) stimulus materials, getting the same sort of "feedback" you may get from a Deaf consumer in a real-life interpreting assignment (head nod, questioning look, repeated info, etc.). In addition, facilitator Irma Kahle will lead a debriefing session at the end of the work group where you may ask any questions you may have. (Please note: individual diagnostic feedback will not be provided.)
